Cât de important este să faci voluntariat și de ce este aceasta cheia pentru o comunitate de cafea?
Voluntariatul pentru mine a fost cel mai bun mod în care am crescut rețeaua mea profesională și personală fiind în industria cafelei. Cred că vă oferă o viziune imediată în atâtea zone de cafea și vă scoate din rolul de zi cu zi, indiferent care este acela.
Fiind dispusă să ajut la evenimente, am reușit să-mi îmbunătățesc abilitățile de vorbire în public, de networking și de gestionare a timpului. Și mi-a oferit acces la oameni care gândesc ca mine, pe care probabil nu i-aş fi întâlnit niciodată dacă nu făceam voluntariat.
Voluntariatul ne permite să promovăm comunitatea în multe domenii diferite; locale, naționale și internaționale. Dar, pe lângă aceasta, permite conectarea la persoane care au aceleași identități, interese și credințe în zone care nu au absolut nimic de a face cu cafeaua!
Este o modalitate nu numai de a contribui, ci şi de a câștiga foarte mult pentru viața personală și profesională. Implică-te dacă poți, nu vei regreta.
How important is to volunteer and why is this is the key for a coffee community?
Volunteering for me has been the best way that I have grown my professional and personal network whilst being in the coffee industry. I think it gives you an immediate insight into so many areas of coffee and takes you out of your day-to-day role, whatever that might be.
By being willing to help with events, I have been able to improve my public speaking, networking, and time management skills. And it has given me access to like-minded and interesting people that had I not volunteered, I would probably never have met.
Volunteering allows us to foster community across many different areas; the local, the national, and the international. But on top of that, it allows connection to people that have the same commonalities, interests, and beliefs in areas that may have absolutely nothing to do with coffee!
It is a way to not only contribute, but really to gain a lot for your personal and professional lives. Get involved if you can, you won’t regret it.
